Maximising your own IM garden
There are so many choices when you run an on-line business that it is all too easy to forget the basics. Today I was asked for my affiliate code for an email autoresponder service I use called Aweber. To my own horror I realised I didn't have one, let alone had I implemented any way of earning that affiliate commission. I only mention it because Aweber is an on-going commission stream, while your referral remains a member. It's a good service, so that could be years. So while I had jumped in to use Aweber for my own business, I had completely missed setting it up to help others and to earn an on-going extra revenue stream. It was as simple as setting up an article on my blog with a link in it, but now I at least have some chance of earning extra income. Whilst there isn't enough years in a life to deploy every affiliate scheme from all the things one buys for yourself, ones with "on-going" commission, need priority consideration Sometimes the answers are too close to home to remember. I hope this note reminds you to look at all the easy opportunities you have already on your desktop, which may not be part of your original core business plan. But for the sake of a linked blog post, it could generate getting on for $100,000, even with a small customer list of 1500 people... Peter |
